Privacy policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026. This policy covers bjoernblomquist.com and the .de, .ch and .org addresses that redirect to it.

1. Controller

Bjoern Blomquist, address in the legal notice, email website [at] bjoernblomquist [dot] com.

2. When you visit

To deliver the page, the server processes your IP address and the details every browser sends, such as the requested address, browser and language. I don't keep access logs, and nothing of this is stored after delivery. Server error messages contain no IP addresses. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in delivering the site securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Server

The server is located in a data center in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, operated on my behalf by Vultr (The Constant Company, LLC, West Palm Beach, USA) (Art. 9 FADP, Art. 28 GDPR). As Vultr is a US company, access from the US cannot be ruled out. Transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which the FDPIC also recognises for Switzerland; Vultr is also certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its Swiss extension.

4. No cookies, no tracking

This site sets no cookies, counts no visits and loads nothing from other servers. Only if you choose the dark theme does your browser remember that choice in local storage; it stays on your device. Your browser renders the 3D mountains itself, and “Ask my AI” answers from curated responses built into the page: questions you type are neither sent nor stored.

5. When you email me

If you email me, I process your address and message to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, otherwise (f)). The mailboxes are run on my behalf by netcup GmbH in Karlsruhe, Germany. I delete messages once they are dealt with and no retention obligation applies.

6. Links to other services

X, GitHub, Instagram, Facebook and Bellchain are plain links. Only when you follow one does that service process data under its own privacy policy.

7. Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction and a copy of your data, and you can object to processing. Write to the address above. You can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or a supervisory authority in the EU (Art. 77 GDPR).
